About Ao Nang

A busy mainland beach town that works well as a base for boat trips.

Ao Nang is the main tourist hub on the Krabi mainland, lined with tour desks and restaurants. Longtail boats leave directly from the sand to Railay and nearby islands. Stay here for easy transport connections and day trips, but look elsewhere if you want quiet beaches or clear swimming water.

Getting there: Flights to Krabi airport (KBV) from Bangkok, then a taxi.
